Lines of Research

  • Product and Process Development Process Management

Research involving the management and improvement of activities associated with product and process development, including organizational structures, project management processes, systems, methods and tools to support product development, as well as process control and improvement. This line also studies the management of product development and processes associated with innovation management.

  • Synthesis and Analysis of Mechatronic Systems

Design of mechatronic systems using mathematical tools to carry out kinematic synthesis and analysis in a systematic way. Study, analysis, design and implementation of deterministic (quadratic programming and conjugate gradient method) and stochastic (evolutionary algorithms, collective intelligence and Lamarckian evolution) optimization algorithms applied to mechatronic systems design.
