Admission to the Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering and Sciences at UFSC – Joinville Campus – is carried out through a selection process, whose rules are published in the calls below.

Post-Master’s Research

The selection process for undertaking a Post-Master’s Internship at UFSC takes place on a continuous basis.

To apply, the candidate must complete the application form and attach the required documentation.

REGULATIONS OF THE POST-MASTER’S INTERNSHIP AT UFSC:
Establishes the rules applicable to the internship: Normative Resolution No. 187/2023/CUn, dated December 12, 2023.

Notes:

– The duration of the post-master’s internship shall be a minimum of 3 (three) months and a maximum of 12 (twelve) months;

– The supervisor must be a faculty member accredited with the respective graduate program and shall be responsible for supervision, ensuring the availability of existing infrastructure, as well as providing the technical support necessary for the execution of the project;

– Individuals holding a master’s degree who are not part of the University’s staff may undertake a post-master’s internship, provided that they are able to assume the activities and weekly workload defined in the work plan, which must not be less than 10 (ten) hours per week, and provided that they have not previously completed another post-master’s internship, of any duration, at any higher education institution, whether national or foreign.

REGULATIONS OF THE POSTDOCTORAL INTERNSHIP AT UFSC:
Normative Resolution No. 173/2022/CUn, dated October 25, 2022, establishes the rules for carrying out a Postdoctoral Internship at UFSC.

Circular Memorandum No. 12/2014/PROPG, dated April 23, 2014 – Registration of researchers under postdoctoral agreement status.

Notes:

– The duration of the Postdoctoral Internship shall be a minimum of 3 (three) months and a maximum of 12 (twelve) months, with the possibility of up to 4 (four) extensions of up to 12 (twelve) months each, at the discretion of the Delegated Board of the Graduate Program and upon a reasoned opinion by the supervisor.

– Postdoctoral researchers must dedicate a minimum of 20 (twenty) hours per week to the development of the activities set forth in the work plan within the Graduate Program.

– Postdoctoral researchers who are scholarship holders from funding agencies must dedicate 40 (forty) hours per week to the development of the activities set forth in the work plan within the Graduate Program and may not be part of UFSC’s staff.

– In the event of the candidate’s acceptance, the research project must be registered in the Integrated System for the Management of Research and Extension Projects (SIGPEX) by the supervisor or by a team member who is a permanent faculty member at UFSC, prior to the start of the Postdoctoral Internship, in accordance with the legislation in force at the University.
