QUALIFICATION EXAM PROCEDURE

1 – The chair (advisor) opens the session and explains the procedure.
2 – The student has up to 30 minutes to present the work.
3 – The student is questioned by the committee.
4 – The chair presents final considerations.
5 – The audience may ask questions.
6 – The committee meets in private to deliberate on approval or rejection of the qualification.
7 – The student prepares and collects the digital signatures on the minutes and then sends it to the program office email (ppgecm@contato.ufsc.br
).

MINUTES TEMPLATE

Qualification Exam Minutes – collect electronic signatures from all members. External members without electronic signatures may have their signatures replaced by the Program Coordinator’s.

According to Art. 71 of Normative Resolution No. 154/2021/CUn, the student, chair, and committee members may participate via real-time audio and video systems. In this case, it is recommended that the student keep a recording of the defense as a safeguard in case of legal issues.
