Credit Validation
To request credit validation for courses taken within Post-ECM, simply send an email to ppgecm@contato.ufsc.br
requesting the validation.
- Courses taken in Post-ECM have no validation limit, meaning all credits earned in the program in the last 10 years can be validated, except for credits obtained in Teaching Internships.
To request credit validation for external courses outside Post-ECM, the following is required:
- Complete, together with your Advisor, the credit validation form for courses;
- Indicate whether you want to substitute a Post-ECM course with an equivalent syllabus or simply validate credits;
- Attach the syllabus of the course to be validated, obtained from the Graduate Program where it was taken;
- Attach the transcript or official statement from the Graduate Program where the course was taken, certifying the grade and/or concept obtained;
- In the case of courses taken at foreign institutions, in addition to the documentation listed above, it is necessary to attach documentation from the institution itself (statement or similar) proving that the course corresponds, at minimum, to a Master’s level. If the transcript already clearly indicates this information, no additional proof is required.
- Up to 9 credits from courses taken in other Graduate Programs, including those at UFSC, in a stricto sensu regime, may be validated, depending on the decision of the Post-ECM Delegated Collegiate;
- Up to 3 credits from courses taken in other Graduate Programs, only within UFSC, in a lato sensu regime, may be validated, depending on the decision of the Post-ECM Delegated Collegiate.
