Diploma Request

It is the student’s responsibility to send the documentation to the office for the diploma issuance process. The diploma can only be requested after the submission of the thesis/dissertation has been approved by the University Library (BU). Original documents must be sent to the e-mail ppgecm@contato.ufsc.br
in PDF format and presented at the office for verification (or send a notarized copy by e-mail):

  • Undergraduate diploma, front and back (in a single PDF file);
  • Birth or marriage certificate;
  • Identity document (RG or CNH).

After verifying the authenticity of the documents, the office will register the diploma issuance process and will contact the student when the diploma is ready for collection. Diploma issuance deadline: up to 60 days after the process is opened.

 

Diploma Collection
The diploma must be collected by the document holder at the Graduate Program Office at UFSC Joinville, presenting their identity document. If the holder cannot collect the diploma, they must inform in advance via e-mail to ppgecm@contato.ufsc.br
the name and ID of the person who will collect it.

 

IDENTIFICATION FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS – Accepted identity documents are:
• Identity document from the country of origin;
• RNE or National Migratory Registration Card;
• Passport.
✓ All documents must be valid at the time of registration and updated in the CAPG by the program.
✓ Proof of legal stay in the country during the entire course period is required.

DIPLOMA OBTAINED ABROAD
✓ Diploma: Copy of the diploma (front and back), revalidated (undergraduate diploma) or recognized (postgraduate diploma) by a Brazilian Higher Education Institution (IES); or
✓ Diploma: Copy of the diploma (front and back) + Declaration: If the diploma presented is not revalidated or recognized in Brazil, the program coordination must issue a declaration, to be presented together with the diploma copy, stating that the diploma was accepted exclusively for admission purposes, without national validity and without the right to professional practice (CONTACT THE OFFICE).
